We are seeking a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse to coordinate and support the disease control programs and immunisation and sexual health programs within the Great Southern region. This is a recruitment pool for Fixed Term opportunity at up to 68.4 hours per fortnight (0.9 FTE) while the substantive occupant is on a period of Parental Leave.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2025.
About the Opportunity This is a rewarding and interesting role where you will:
Participate in the vaccine preventable and disease control program which includes planning, surveillance, contact tracing, appropriate follow-up, disease notification and data base maintenance.Coordinate and/or participate in the implementation and evaluation of best practice in sexual health, immunisation, and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) programs across the Great Southern.Participate in the evaluation of disease prevention programs using appropriate methods including the ACIR, WANIDD and WebPAS databases.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current WA Certificate in Immunisation Competency or equivalent qualification.Demonstrated recent experience in Disease Control and ImmunisationDemonstrated experience in working with multicultural people in a rural areaWhy work for us?
