Yurika is hiring! We have a 6-month Fixed Term opportunity for a Metering Technician to join our team to be located at Brisbane (Newstead) .
About the role:
As part of an office-based team, you will remotely commission and maintain Yurika metering in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Your role will include coordinating with installation contractors, inspectors, and network operators to arrange new metering installations, validating the accuracy and correctness of metering, and providing technical support to customers and service providers.
You will also assist in the planning and deployment of new metering technologies, investigate, and rectify metering system defects, and understand and apply Energy Queensland policies across multiple jurisdictions.

Remuneration –
4. 9-Day Fortnight: from $128,919 up to $140,624 per annum + 14.75% Superannuation
5. 10-Day Fortnight: from $148,901 up to $162,421 per annum + 14.75% Superannuation
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
13. Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
14. Demonstrated knowledge of safety requirements and the operation and maintenance of metering installations as well as the ability to install, test and fault find complex metering systems including telecommunications equipment.
15. Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, National Electricity Rules, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
16. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers to provide efficient and effective solutions and improvements to meet business and regulatory requirements.
17. Willingness to travel across broader Queensland to assist with work.
18. Current ‘C’ class open Drivers Licence.
