The Business Development Executive will identify new business opportunities and drive business growth across industries. They will apply a solution centric sales approach to customers’ requirements. Customer interaction and negotiation is extensive and this role will engage with stakeholders at all levels, including CSuite. Role Responsibilities Proactively source new sales leads Meet with and identify requirements of new sales leads Maintain an intrinsic understanding of products, value proposition and functionality to accurately promote or match to client requirements Manage internal relationships across product, lead times and installations to contract new customers Meet activity and sales targets quarterly Maintain current opportunities and CRM information in the relevant system Actively engage with the development and execution of the sales strategy annually Accurately hand over contracted deals to the Operations team including contacts, asset lists and other relevant contractual information Essential Competencies Track record of new business development and managing sales pipeline in a highly competitive sector Proactive sales experience from lead generation to deal negotiation Proven ability to develop effective relationships across multiple levels of customer organisations Commercial acumen Attention to detail Problem solving and issue resolution skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Proven oral, written, telephone skills Experience 3-5 years of B2B sales experience Exposure to selling integrated solutions Proven track record selling to multiple stakeholders at all levels Experience growing and closing sales cycles 9-18 months Aligned industries include; transport, logistics, warehousing, cold chain and haulage, as these are in line with customer base. Alternatively SaaS sales experience is also advantageous from a product understanding perspective.
