Working alongside Partner Julian Smith, this role will involve acting for a broad range of financial services (trustee companies, super funds, investment & fund managers) and corporate clients. The financial services work focuses on establishment, structuring and fundraising activities for financial services clients, as well as compliance and investment activities. The corporate work blends M&A and transformative transactions, with business-as-usual commercial advice for long-standing clients who value the team’s involvement in and knowledge of their business. The Maddocks Corporate & Private Clients team is well regarded by founders, multinationals and Australian corporates, and is known for its commercial acumen, precision and enthusiasm for helping clients navigate uncertainty and achieve their goals.
