Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) is a critical service delivery organisation centred in Shepparton in north central Victoria. GVW’s core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable and affordable water services to customers. From the outskirts of Melbourne in the south to the Murray River in the north, the organisation is an integral part of the social and economic fabric of the region, delivering services to a population of over 125,000 across 54 towns. With a growing population, changing climate and evolving customer needs, the General Manager Finance and Business Services (CFO) will play a key role in responding to current challenges and prepare the organisation for the future.
The General Manger Finance and Business Services (CFO) will lead the delivery of the support services that enable GVW to achieve its business and strategic objectives while continuously improving its performance. Leading a team of professionals across a broad corporate services function, your focus will be to ensure a long-term commercial and sustainable approach exists within the business. Using commercial disciplines within a Victorian government agency, you will help drive value through a range of strategic initiatives that will deliver improved productivity and better outcomes for customers.
With experience as a senior leader, you understand the importance of providing enabling services that improve efficiency and value for customers. You will be an engaging and proactive leader with demonstrated experience in bringing internal stakeholders together to drive improved business outcomes and employee engagement. You will have the ability to lead a broad portfolio including finance, legal, risk, digital and governance with a tertiary qualification in accounting or finance and a CPA. Furthermore, you will have experience providing strategic advice to senior executives and Boards, and a track record of enhancing performance within a complex service delivery organisation.
