The Facilities Maintenance Unit, forms part of the Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance Department delivering responsive customer service to Council's portfolio of Buildings and associated structures.
About the Position
The Facilities Maintenance Officer is responsible for effectively engaging with Council specialist tradespersons ensuring Council’s Buildings meet all legislative requirements. Undertaking safety and quality inspections for monitor against the performance of Council Contractors. Use Council works management systems efficiently to ensure tracking of ordered works.
Skills and Experience
4. Tertiary Qualification in a facilities management, building trades or related field
5. Computer skills and experience in using current business software packages, including works management systems
6. Developed communication skills, working cooperatively with team members, stakeholders and contractors.
Requirements
7. Commitment to occupational health and safety and quality control processes
8. A current Victorian driver’s licence or equivalent licence
9. Employee Working with Children’s Check
10. Satisfactory National Police Check
11. Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
