About the OpportunityAPS5 Strategic Comms, Executive Communications and Intranet Team, 12-month contract with a possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. The role is based in Geelong and some in-office time is required. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to apply.
About the TeamThrough an audience-based model, the Executive Communications and Intranet Team provides strategic communications advice and support to key business areas across the Agency, including the CEO and Strategic Leadership Team. The team helps to communicate and engage about Agency Culture, processes and improvements to Agency staff and partners. The work is diverse and can vary greatly, dependent on the project.
About the Role
This role involves crafting clear, accessible communications aligned with agency guidelines, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting project objectives by leading communications efforts with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing messaging, coordinating communications plans, and assessing project outcomes, while providing organisational support to the team and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Success requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure, with government experience and accessibility expertise considered advantageous.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing communications tasks and deliverables.
Expertise in plain English and accessibility to ensure all materials align with NDIS style and branding.
Trusted leadership in communications, guiding internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Proficiency in drafting clear, effective messaging for internal audiences and providing constructive feedback.
Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, resolving challenges and evaluating communication impact for future improvements.
RequirementsAustralian Citizenship
Drafting clear, concise and effective communication materials for different internal audiences, reviewing and providing feedback.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, in a reactive and changing environment.
Exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail.
