The opportunity Our growth has led to an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to work within Deloitte Legal alongside our global, multidisciplinary Intangible, Data and Technology (IDT) practice. We are looking for an energetic individual who is passionate about making a positive impact. You are someone who : Has four (4) to eight (8) years PQE or equivalent gained within a law firm, consultancy or in-house firm, with a focus on IDT. Experience of legal operations and legal process management will be highly valued. Experience of the regulation of and use of data and technology Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment Has strong time management and organisational skills Has excellent verbal and written communication skills Has strong academic achievements Is qualified as a legal practitioner within Australia You will be primarily responsible for : Coordinating end-to-end engagement delivery, including managing client interactions and coordinating work performed by junior team members and other parts of Deloitte. You will have a core focus on the delivery of corporate legal services and solutions to a portfolio of Australian and international clients, including but not limited to: Advising on IP, Data and Tech systems and processes including implementation of technology driven systems Advising on implementation of AI enabled technology in legal teams Advising on regulatory compliance with tech, internet and data regulations Preparation and review of various transaction documents and contracts Advising on strategic management of IDT assets Advising on charities and not-for-profit related matters, including as part of our pro bono program If you do not fit perfectly into the above descriptions but you would like an opportunity to discuss what you could bring to the role, you are welcome to apply or contact us for a confidential discussion.
