Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering firm to find an experienced Electrical Engineer for an exciting new venture. Our client is renowned for delivering high-impact projects across Australia, including mines, minerals processing facilities, LNG installations, refineries, chemical plants, power stations, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Project Overview: Join the Ar Rjum Project, an ambitious greenfield gold mining development in the Central Arabian Gold Region. This groundbreaking project features three open-pit mining operations with associated waste dumps, ore stockpiles, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and essential infrastructure such as water and power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and accommodation villages. Situated roughly 200 km northeast of Taif and 26 km south of Al Mouwayh, this challenging project presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mining development in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver medium to large-scale projects.
* Lead the electrical design and development phases, including conceptual designs and technical problem-solving.
* Address and resolve complex technical challenges while meeting the project’s unique requirements.
* Provide critical technical input to support procurement processes.
* Review and make recommendations on electrical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and contracts.
* Approve key electrical calculations, designs, drawings, material specifications, and change orders.
* Communicate technical issues and propose effective solutions to senior management.
* Coordinate with client representatives as required to obtain approval for electrical engineering aspects of the project.
* Contribute to project planning, including estimating staffing needs and timelines.
About You:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* 10-13 years of relevant experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering for EPC/EPCM projects, particularly in mineral processing.
* Strong knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, materials, and computer applications within the electrical engineering discipline.
* Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial or process plants is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with planning and controlling engineering work in the electrical discipline and experience working on multi-disciplinary projects.
* Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools for electrical engineering design.
* In-depth understanding of technical and cost considerations in electrical design feature selection.
