Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective: Provide centralized procurement advisory and support services to client agencies in accordance with Agency Procurement Services’ Service Statement, the Northern Territory Government (NTG) Procurement Framework, and Buy Local Policy. Services include advice and support to agencies in the preparation of tender and contract documentation, procurement assessments, contract award, and contract management advice.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide customer-focused procurement assistance and advice to enable informed decisions in accordance with procurement principles and compliance with the NTG Procurement Framework.Prepare procurement tender and quotation documents incorporating technical specifications provided by agencies, resolve enquiries from prospective tenderers, and prepare tender-specific evaluation reports to assist agencies in undertaking tender assessments.Provide accurate contract administration services to meet internal and external requirements.Assist in the development of reports and briefings as required to support agency procurement activities to meet internal and external requirements.Regularly monitor work to ensure the quantity, quality, and timeliness of outputs.Selection Criteria:Essential:Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement policy and legislation with the capability to prepare procurement documentation in a public or private sector environment, or demonstrated transferable skill sets to an equivalent standard (e.g., Project Management, Human Resources) with the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including providing guidance and advice to client agencies.Sound written skills with high attention to detail with the ability to prepare documents, reports, and briefs to a high level of accuracy.Demonstrated commitment to high personal work standards in the delivery of customer-focused services.Demonstrated organization skills and a proven record of achieving results within agreed timeframes.High level of computer literacy with experience in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, Content Manager, and procurement systems or equivalents.Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative, and respectful.Desirable:Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or Business Administration.Further Information:The recommended applicant will be required to undergo a criminal history check prior to selection being confirmed.
