About the role:
With a significant pipeline of opportunities identified across the Transport and Technology sectors, UGL are seeking to appoint an experienced Reporting Analyst to support the Project Controls Manager, ensuring the timely management of project reportable data. The Reporting Analyst will be working in the major projects space based in Melbourne:
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for building comprehensive reporting solutions that are underpinned by data analytics that highlight useful information and enable data driven solutions. This position requires a subject matter expert who possesses excellent attention to detail and are accustomed to prioritising tasks to meet agreed deadlines
Some of the key responsibilities but not limited to
1. Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve upon existing reports as well as the need to generate new insightful reports
2. Build and maintain reporting solutions using an agile approach, where stakeholders are kept informed throughout the development cycle
3. Acquire large quantities of data from multiple project systems to extract the crucial elements that will inform the construction team of both the current & forecasted state
4. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns relating to key performance indicators in complex data sets in order to identify improvement opportunities in the reporting suite
5. Proactively identify data anomalies across the project system environment and inform the relevant parties to determine whether fixes need to be implemented
6. Seek out reporting solutions that are efficient and where possible incorporate automation
7. Document processes associated with recurring reports
8. Undertake adhoc tasks as instructed by the Project Controls Manager
About You;
9. 5+ years of experience working in an analyst role
10. Tertiary qualification in computer science, commerce, mathematics or data science is desirable
11. Advanced Microsoft Excel capability along with experience using dashboard software such as Power BI
12. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
