City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an Archive Customer Service Officer - First Nations to join our Exhibitions and Cultural Collections team within the Museum Archive Libraries & Learning (MALL) service unit in this permanent, part time opportunity, working 14 hours per week on Monday and Tuesday.
As our Archive Customer Service Officer - First Nations, you provide exceptional service experience as the first point of contact for researchers and visitors, delivering quality interactions and professional advice across MALL's cultural archives. Reporting to the Archivist, the role ensures public availability of the collection via a program of in-person access and community research services. This role has a particular focus on the delivery of First Nations Family History programming, research support and collection development through a First Nations lens.
Bringing experience from similar role/s, you also will undertake Local Studies branch responsibilities, including but not limited to managing meeting/event or program bookings, cash collection and reconciliations, reshelving items and tidying displays.
