THE COMPANY Our client is a long-established reputable accounting firm located on the Gold Coast, recognised for delivering exceptional tax and business advisory services.
With a strong client base that includes businesses with turnovers up to $25 million and beyond, the firm is now strategically expanding to attract and service larger client groups with turnovers ranging from $35 million to over $100 million.
THE OPPORTUNITY This is an opportunity for a former Big 4 or mid-tier Senior Manager, Director or Partner with a passion for business development to join a long-established Gold Coast accounting firm as a Business Development Manager, leading the charge to attract and service existing and larger, high-profile clients with turnovers of $35M–$100M+.
The role will play a critical part in bringing in new business and servicing these high-profile clients with the backing of a collaborative and highly skilled management, accounting, marketing and administration team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively identifying, attracting and engaging with potential high-value clients with turnovers $100M+ Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring continued business growth Representing the firm in presentations and meetings, demonstrating expertise and enhancing client and strategic partnership's trust Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new clients and cross-referral opportunitie Independently managing the complex needs of clients and acting as a trusted advisor for high-net-worth clients, providing strategic advice Working collaboratively with the existing management, accounting, marketing and administration team to service clients' needs EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Proven track record in acquiring new business and expanding client portfolios, particularly with high-value clients Strong ability to independently manage client relationships and effectively drive business development Excellent interpersonal and networking skills to build lasting relationships and grow the firm's client base Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, offer strategic business advisory and manage complex transactions Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Must hold CA or CPA certification Minimum 10 years' experience in Business Advisory within a mid-tier or top-tier professional services firm Extensive knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Will enjoy Being part of a well-established Gold Coast progressive firm with a reputable brand Working autonomously to make strategic decisions and grow business with the support of management Collaborating and being supported by management, accounting, marketing and administration team Significant career growth and potential for partnership advancement Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia will be considered.
