ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist & Data Administrator to work as a part of our BreastScreen Service in Geelong. You would be contributing to delivering the highest standards of services to our clients and community while maintaining accurate BreastScreen results and information in order to make a difference in the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females.
This is a unique opportunity to work across our Medical Reception along with the Geelong BreastScreen’s Data team, which supports data integrity, quality and accuracy of all BreastScreen services within the region. This is a part-time (24 hours) position, working across 3 days (Monday, Wednesday & Friday).
The successful candidate will preferably have prior experience in health service administration and will be responsible for working with the Data team and Reception team to complete duties as below:
• Quality checking and processing of client and clinical information.
• Timely provision of BreastScreen results.
• Process, file and retrieval of confidential data generated by screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications – BSV specific work).
• Image transfer to facilitate ongoing care.
• Process and policy adherence pertaining to the release of BreastScreen information to other service providers.
• Analysis of high quality data ensuring compliance with BreastScreen standards and requirements.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary meetings.
• Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients.
• Ensure patient bookings are scheduled to maximise appointment slots.
• Answering incoming calls in a proficient, timely and professionally welcoming manner.
• Attend to incoming and outgoing communications.
• BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).

• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy
• Detailed understanding of medical imaging terminology
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must!
• Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
