Job Description:
As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for maintenance, component changeouts, upgrades and rebuilding of a broad range of equipment in our workshop.
The equipment includes UG trucks and loaders, drills (Jumbo, long hole and cablebolt), IT's, light vehicles, charge up and spray equipment, and ancillary equipment such as generators, lighting plant and light trucks.
The Workshop:
Our large maintenance facility at Eagle Farm is well-equipped and has the capacity and capability for all realms of machinery maintenance from full rebuilds to servicing and machinery assembly.
We also have heavy fabrication, fitting and turning work, supported by a large well-equipped stores.

The Opportunity:
This is a great opportunity to secure a workshop-based role with a reputable mining contractor.
You will enjoy a 9-day fortnight, working 10 hours days, with a convenient workshop location close to the city and lots of parking.
Additionally, you will have a permanent long-term role with sick days and holidays, and attractive hourly rates plus super.
If desired, you can also move into a FIFO role in the future.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will be a trade qualified diesel fitter with experience working on earthmoving equipment.
You should have a strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and ideally rebuilds.
A high level of detail and ability to deliver quality work are also essential, as is being a team player with a great attitude towards work.
