As the Business Development and Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for both acquiring new business and managing and growing key accounts, including five major clients and two distributors on a local and global scale. Key Responsibilities: As an integral part of the leadership team, you will: Manage and grow retail accounts both domestically and internationally. Create and execute effective promotional strategies to maximize brand exposure Leverage retailer platforms and channels to maximize brand visibility and achieve sales targets Analyze sales data to understand margins and returns, aiming to maximize profitability. Negotiate trading terms and promotional support with retailers. Apply trade marketing skills to maximize partner marketing activities. Optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and ensure timely order fulfillment. Drive new business development and explore new growth opportunities. Ensure seamless order fulfillment. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven sales leader with at a minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, particularly with retail stores and branded consumer products. Entrepreneurial mindset, preferring to be a big fish in a small pond, with a willingness to get hands-on. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate trading terms and promotions to enhance returns. Expertise in trade marketing and sales promotion techniques. Skilled in developing channel and sales strategies. Highly proficient in business management, including account management, stock management, pricing, market research, project management, forecasting, and reporting. Exceptionally organized, capable of managing multiple projects, and eager to learn. Self-motivated, positive, energetic, dynamic, and reliable, with the ability to work independently within a small team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and quick to adapt to new systems like Slack, Smarthub, Shopify, and Cin7. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Tertiary education in Business, Commerce, or Marketing. Experience in export business is highly valued. Excellent numerical skills for sales data analysis, margin understanding, and promotional analysis. Proven negotiation skills for trading terms and promotional support. Trade marketing expertise to maximum partner activities for exposure and results. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Personable and mature communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Highly proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with Slack, Smarthub, Shopify, and Cin7 is a plus.
