Salary: $134,567 - $161,521 + up to 15.4% SuperannuationLocation: Russell - ACTThe RoleThe Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) assures the quality of all ministerial advice and correspondence by Defence to portfolio ministers.As Director of the QAU, you will provide high-level leadership managing a small team.The team reviews and edits written ministerial advice and correspondence via the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).Specifically, you will:Provide strategic oversight of the quality assurance process, ensuring all ministerial submissions, briefs and correspondence meet the highest standards;Act as a trusted advisor, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes that align with Defence's strategic objectives;Build and sustain a fantastic team environment, providing opportunities to take part in professional development and contribute to defence business outcomes with stakeholders across Defence;Use initiative and judgement to implement practices and procedures consistent with Defence's objectives and priorities, making key decisions under pressure when necessary.
