Our client, a well-established and dynamic organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their busy and supportive Payroll team.
This role is based at their modern Perth Head Office and reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor.
Duties: Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.
Manage employee records and files, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
Prepare and submit fortnightly payroll reports for the business as required.
Provide support to management in payroll-related matters.
Interpret award agreements and escalate any discrepancies to the Team Leader.
Perform leave reconciliations when needed to ensure accuracy.
Process manual payments as required, ensuring all information is correct.
Requirements: Ability to process payroll consistently on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly schedule.
Experience with workers' compensation payments and ensuring they are processed accurately.
Manage payroll payments for electronic transfer to COL as part of payroll processing.
Strong understanding of award interpretation, with the ability to identify and report discrepancies.
Experience with leave reconciliations, ensuring proper calculation and records.
Ability to calculate and process termination payments as required.
