RELIGIOUS EDUCATION/ PHILOSOPHY & ETHICS TEACHER
At Perth College, the Humanities and Social Sciences Department encompasses Religious Education. A dynamic, experienced and capable group of staff make up the department, who work closely together to provide an enriching and challenging academic program for Perth College students.
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Religious Education teacher for a full-time ongoing role commencing in 2025.
The successful applicant will be able to engage with students from Years 7 – 12 in exploring issues of ethics, values, beliefs, and religious practice.
The rich curriculum covers a School-devised program for Years 7-10 with a focus on Philosophy and Ethics, Christianity, Comparative Religions, Social Justice, and Spirituality, providing capacity for students to develop their own framework of beliefs and values. Philosophy and Ethics and Religion and Life are offered in Years 11 and 12.
An ability to teach Philosophy and Ethics and/or Religion and Life to WACE level would be considered advantageous for this role but not necessary.
In order to be effective in this role, you must be able to foster collaborative relationships, sharing expertise and resources to enthuse and inspire students through a range of teaching practices, including the integration of technology in the classroom.
The School has an expectation that all staff will play an active role in pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
