Reporting to the Manager Engineering, the Team Leader, Infrastructure Development plays a crucial role in ensuring development proposals meet high standards and comply with regulations across the Shire. This includes establishing and implementing infrastructure design standards. There is a focus on undertaking cross inspections to ensure consistency and compliance across the team and on site if necessary. Additionally, the position contributes to Council committees, handles confidential negotiations with contractors, supports risk management efforts, and may assist in emergency operations when needed.
To be considered for this role, you bring an extensive expertise in civil engineering, specialising in assessing and managing infrastructure development applications. You excel in evaluating design documentation, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. With strong interpersonal skills, you effectively communicate with stakeholders and navigate regulatory landscapes. Committed to safety and compliance, you uphold Occupational Health and Safety protocols. A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering is essential and experience in local government is desirable, you are ready to contribute significantly to Moira Shire Council's infrastructure development initiatives.
