THE ROLE We present a rare opportunity to appoint a Human Resources Manager for our NSW and ACT branches. Based at Moorebank, this is a true generalist role that will see you responsible for implementing and managing corporate HR policies, processes, procedures and initiatives across multiple sites and departments (including Sales, Customer Service, IT and Operations). We are looking for strong leadership skills and excellent knowledge of awards and industrial legislation. You will also need a common-sense approach, strong relationship building skills, confidence, enthusiasm, and the ability to be adaptable and flexible to meet changing work priorities and requirements. MAIN ACTIVITIES Align HR processes and initiatives with business strategy in accordance with corporate policies, budgets, resourcing requirements, and within a compliance framework. Work closely with the General Managers and their management teams to continually analyse, prioritise and respond proactively to organisational needs within the realm of HR. Manage a diverse range of HR functions including learning & development, recruitment, remuneration, industrial relations, workplace health and safety, HR administration, culture/engagement and corporate/contract relationships. Deliver operational support and guidance to General Managers and line managers on employee relations/counselling, performance management, remuneration and benefits, organisational change management, recruitment, award/agreement negotiation, compliance and employee development. Monitor the effectiveness of HR services and continually look for ways to improve. Lead and develop the NSW Human Resources team to deliver optimum services. Work closely with the National WH&S Advisor and local Managers on WH&S initiatives and programs To be successful in this role you must have: 8-10 year’s experience in HR (preferably in a mid/large organisation), with relevant tertiary qualifications and at a management level leading a small team Experience with management of Enterprise Agreements and union relationships is desirable Strong relationship management, influencing/negotiation and communication skills. Exposure to and knowledge of a diverse range of Human Resources specialities including learning & development, remuneration, industrial relations, recruitment, workplace health and safety, resource planning and change management. Knowledge of current employment/industrial relations legislation Compliance focus High attention to detail and quality of outputs, particularly written communications Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel in particular HRIS (Oracle HCM) and SAP Payroll advantageous What’s next?
