We are seeking an Executive Director to lead our Resilience and Recovery Tasmania team. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and experience in emergency management. Develop and implement strategies to enhance community resilience Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve recovery goals Provide strategic guidance to the team and stakeholders Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in resilience and recovery Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support our goals Build relationships with key stakeholders to secure funding and resources Oversee the development and implementation of plans to prevent and respond to emergencies Develop and manage budgets to support departmental programs and projects Provide advice to senior leaders on resilience and recovery matters Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies Manage conflict and difficult conversations with stakeholders and team members Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve our goals Represent the department in relevant forums and committees Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the sector to stay informed and up-to-date Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in resilience and recovery Develop and implement strategies to enhance community resilience
