Your new companyOne of our clients is seeking a BI Engineer/Developer for a 3-month contract.
The primary activities that this role will be completing include:
Supporting our data engineering capabilities - primarily in Python.Supporting our BI (ETL & Visualisation) activities - visualisation is in Tableau.Your new roleThe responsibilities of the role will include:
Turning Data into Insights:Operationalising the use of data and insights to inform strategic decisions and day-to-day execution.BI platform architecting:Design and develop data models, data flows, data warehouse, and integration points using technology stack, including Tableau and AWS Redshift.Develop and support data models, using AWS Glue, Python, Airflow and Redshift.Design a scalable and secure BI architecture using Tableau.Optimise data processing to be efficient, scalable and secure.Establish standards and best practices for Tableau development and deployment that promote agility and adaptability.Ensure adherence to data governance, security protocols and enhance data protection.Establish and enforce governance processes for Tableau content management, deployment, and maintenance.Ensure designs are highly testable and include quality process guidance.Monitor and optimise Tableau performance and resource utilisation, proactively identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks as the BI environment evolves.Stay abreast of emerging BI technologies and trends by actively participating in industry events, online communities, and self-directed learning.Tableau Visualization and Reporting:Create insightful Tableau reports and dashboards that effectively communicate insights, trends, and analysis results to stakeholders across various levels of the organisation and for B2B Partners.Master advanced Tableau functions to build complex models.Ensure reports provide actionable insights and are visually engaging, interactive, and user-friendly.Design data refresh schedules and implement a robust data quality assurance process.What you'll need to succeed Full Working Rights in Australia (mandate).Candidate should be in Adelaide, South Australia (mandate).Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or relevant experience (mandate).5-6 years of strong expertise in SQL, AWS ecosystem, Tableau (mandate).Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, as evidenced by participation in training programs, certifications, and self-directed learning initiatives.Experience in relational databases, database architectures, and Data Engineering will be highly desirable.Solutions designed to handle and analyse large volumes of data, often in real-time.
