The Water treatment/Acidulation Leader is accountable and responsible for development and training of water treatment employees, department safety, maintaining a clean department and healthy system processes.Food Safety Policy:Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards. Everyone at Adams is involved in delivering safe food - within your scope of work you will be empowered to act to resolve food safety issues.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Lead Water Treatment Team by conducting training, enforcing best practices, mentoring, and otherwise coordinating and supporting the team to alignment with company goals.Communicate with management any issues affecting the process of Water Treatment, Acidulation, while ensuring no impact to refinery operations.Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are complete and well documented reporting any non-conformities to Operations Supervisors or appropriate management team.Complete annual review of internal SOPs.Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures and forms.Conduct routine inventory of consumables; notify Materials Manager of items to be ordered.Participate in internal audits and inspections, ensuring all areas are audit ready at all times.Process water samples from the boilers, cooling tower and Water treatment area utilizing lab equipment while maintaining lab in a clean and safe manner.Be Subject Matter Expert in the operation of the Water treatment/Acidulation process.Ensure a clean and safe work environment adhering to food safety guidelines.Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Superintendent of Operations and the Plant Manager.Promote proper use of personal protection equipment (P.P.E.).Follow all safety rules and requirements, attending safety meetings, and tailgates.Work well independently, with others and must be able to take directions from company leadership. Consistently achieves production and output targets.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be, or become forklift operator certified.3-5 years of processing equipment operations experience.Intermediate level in general computer applications use.Position Requirements:Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders.Able to work in all weather conditions.Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Must be willing work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as directed by management.Must be able to oversee all efforts of the assigned personnel while effectively and fairly leading employees.Must be flexible to work rotating shifts.
