About the role
TAFE NSW is looking for industry qualified subject matter experts within Commercial Cookery to join the team as Casual Teachers and share your industry knowledge and expertise with an engaged student cohort. You will become part of a highly driven and successful team who work collaboratively to achieve students’ success.
Campus locations include Tamworth/ Armidale/ Dubbo/ Mudgee/ Broken Hill/ Orange/ Bathurst (subject to accommodation availability). This recruitment will also be used to create a suitability list which may be used to fill future similar positions within the West region.
About You
You will love this position if you like to share your passion in the Commercial Cookery industry and are ready to educate a team of passionate students from a range of backgrounds to achieve their personal and work goals whilst developing and implementing an educational and career plan. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share information with your students through face to face and connected learning platforms, if required.
To be considered for the role you will have:
1. Certificate III (or above) in Commercial Cookery / Certificate III (or above) in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
3. Minimum of three years relevant post-qualification industry experience within the last five years, at a supervisory level as Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef or Executive Chef
4. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency
