We are regularly tendering for works in Brisbane & greater QLD and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Cost Controllers / Estimators interested in joining us in Tendering for upcoming Consulting Opportunities.We specialise in providing Project Delivery Resources mainly for Road Infrastructure Projects with State Government Road Authorities, Urban & Regional Councils and are on many 'Preferred Supplier Panels' for this purpose Many of the Projects we are invited to assist with, involve Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) following Natural Disaster events and under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) administered by QLD Reconstruction Authority (QRA).Responsibilities: • Manage the Cost Control processes in the form of accurate collection, recording and reporting on forecast project costs.• Assist with submissions to funding authorities'.• Contribute to cost planning and cost control involving budget allocation, core forecasting, cashflow forecasting, cost review, variance analysis and cost reporting across the work programs • Assist with the Cost Planning and Cost Control functions across the delivery teams and ensuring integration with Planning and Scheduling, Financial Accounting and Commercial functions • Ensure Cost Control systems and procedures are implemented in accordance with established procedures across software platforms • Project monitoring, analysis and change control is applied throughout the project using best practice techniques • Interface with and manage relationships with other delivery team members and departments, consultants, advisors, delivery partners, contractors and wider government participants through clear communication to promote the effective cost management of the program.Mandatory Experience • At least 5 years experience as a 'Cost Controller / Estimator on Industrial or Commercial Construction Projects &/or at least 2 of those years prior experience on Civil Roads Infrastructure construction projects with any Australian State Gov't Road Authority or Australian Council, (preferably in Queensland).Desirable Experience • Prior experience with DTMR &/or any urban or regional QLD Councils will be a distinct advantage.• Working with any Disaster Funding Arrangements, (you should express this in a cover letter as this will be a very big advantage).Qualifications • Any Qualification to support your application should be noted in your resume & will be considered.Critical Note: Unfortunately, overseas candidates without this Mandatory Experience are unable to be considered.Must have a current QLD / Australian driver's licence.The roles are generally in the Brisbane &/or greater QLD region which will be discussed prior to engagement.It is envisaged that the hours will be nominally 40 hrs p/week (5-day week, approximately 8 hrs p/day, however this could vary with each role pending project requirements.Civil Services Group is a specialist Civil Project Management and Delivery Company based in Queensland with a strong track record in delivering major projects.We are committed to mentoring and developing staff and providing high standards of HSE and EEO obligations.We are continually tendering for new projects throughout QLD and NSW and welcome expressions of interest from all people with Civil Construction Industry backgrounds and experience.We are accepting applications from candidates only, no agencies please.Note: you only have to apply for 1 CSG role to be considered for all our roles.
