7)Based at our St Lucia CampusAbout This OpportunityThe Hub Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the operational effectiveness of a range of complex project and management activities as required by the Hub Executive Team, to support the ARC Research Hub for Sustainable Crop Protection.This includes overviewing project operations related to research, acting as an industry liaison, ensuring operational effectiveness, and assisting to realise the Hub goal to achieve sustainable crop protection solutions.The role will also oversee operational and administrative support to the Hub Director, the Hub Deputy Director and other senior staff as required.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Hub including project management, financial management and administration, including processes and procedures.Support research contract preparation, material transfer agreements and revision in collaboration with QAAFI Research Partnership Manager and UniQuest for IP and commercialisation matters.In the absence of the Science Manager and Deputy Director, assume operational responsibility for the research group.Manage the group's financial accounts and provide advice on appropriate actions to meet project goals.Provide strategic advice to the Director and Deputy Director on financial, staffing and administrative matters.Operate as a key liaison between the Hub's internal stakeholders, business partners and industry stakeholders both in Australia and overseas to facilitate strong and long-term sustainable relationships.Develop and leverage strong working relationships and networks within UQ, the ARC and with industry partners and external stakeholders to benefit the Hub.Support all operational functions of the Hub, including effective planning, implementation, evaluation and decision-making to ensure financial and operations objectives are reached.Support the coordination of events, official functions, public profiling activities and regular proactive communication for the benefit of the Hub's stakeholders and reputation, liaising with the Research Office as required.Lead all Hub reporting requirements, including monitoring, assessing and reporting on Hub performance against KPIs and collating, publishing and distributing the Hub's annual report.Coordinate the experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Proven skills in financial and organisation planning and analysis including budget development and the ability to interpret financial data at strategic and operational levels and produce reports for external partners and funding agencies.Demonstrated ability to understand and apply a range of rules, policies and processes in accordance with the regulatory and legislative context.Knowledge of and the ability to manage research project requirements.Understanding of the confidentiality requirements of academic, industrial, and other key stakeholders and ability to navigate discussion on IP and commercialisation path.Proven capacity to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from industry, government, the professional and academic sectors.Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team, both at local and national levels.Excellent time management skills and the demonstrated ability to be versatile, multitask and to work within deadlines.High-level communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.The successful candidate may be required to complete
