BS&T are responsible for all software-related business analysis, business solutions, software development, telephony, IT services, infrastructure, and cyber. About your contributionDefence Housing Australia is seeking an experienced and dynamic EL1 Assistant Director, Testing to lead our testing team within the Application Development and Integration division. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process and technology innovation, managing testing activities across both waterfall and agile projects, forecasting capacity, and overseeing procurement and contract management with outsourcing providers. This role requires a leader who can inspire and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration. Our ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance, including leadership roles. Proven track record of driving process and technology innovation in testing environments. Strong expertise in both waterfall and agile methodologies. Experience in capacity forecasting and resource planning. Demonstrated experience in leading procurement processes and managing outsourcing contracts. Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Understanding of security and compliance considerations in testing.
