Make it your story.This position reports toProduction Manager - MotorsYour role and responsibilitiesABB is seeking an experienced Motors Assembly and Testing Technician to be based onsite in Maryborough, Queensland.
In this role, your responsibilities involve assembling electric motors and performing testing of the manufactured motors.
This includes following technical, assembly, and design documentation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and specifications for proper functionality.
Follow directions of the team lead to support team discipline and enforce health and safety regulations.
Additionally, support the inspecting and troubleshooting of issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Also, monitor adherence to company procedures and safety protocols to uphold high-quality standards.
Apply now to join a global leader in technology and take your career to the next level!You will be mainly accountable for:Ensuring integrity, safety and compliance with ABB values, standards, and ethics in all activities.Assembling electric motors and performing testing of the manufactured motors based on technical, assembly, and design specifications.Assisting the team to perform all required checks as part of the routine testing process, and troubleshooting any identified issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.Qualifications for the role5+ years in electrical trade with testing experience.Skilled in mechanics, electrics, and automation; can read technical drawings.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.Detail-oriented; prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency.Positive attitude and enjoys fast-paced work.Motors manufacturing and Industrial spray-painting experience is a plus.Certified to operate cranes and forklifts.More about usThis unique opportunity on the Fraser Coast, Queensland will help build the local economy while positioning ABB for more opportunities within the Australian Traction industry.
