Civil Engineering Draftsperson MLEI Consulting Engineers OPPORTUNITYDue to our company's growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. This full-time, permanent position is based in our Adelaide office. You will report directly to the Sports and Recreational Managers, Neil Davey and Serhan Halil. POSITION SUMMARYProvide accurate and efficient design and drafting services to our customers. RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborating with the Drafting and Engineering team for project development.Utilising computer-aided design(CAD) software to create comprehensive and detailed designs.Producing design sketches, diagrams, and layouts to illustrate workflow.Involved in diverse projects, including renovations, additions, and complex structures, as well as surrounding design levels.Handling drafting tasks, including the development of drawings from initial concepts to detailed, finalised drawings.Conducting on-site inspections and preparing detailed reports.Issuing certificates for construction projects to ensure adherence to Australian Standards for all designs.Prepare sketches, charts, tabulations, plans, and designs for civil engineering projects such as drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges, and other structures.Inspect civil engineering works and organise and supervise maintenance and repair tasks. POSITION REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 2 years relevant work experiencePossession of an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level2) or a minimum of three years of relevant experience as an alternative to formal qualifications.Thorough understanding of drafting standards.Strong background in science, mathematics, and engineering technology.Deep technical proficiency in the field.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.Capability to work well in a team, demonstrate initiative, and recognise when to seek further informationAccuracy, neatness, and patience in drawing work.Motivation, listening, and problem-solving skills.
