Be responsible for and own the performance of the assigned categories by defining the categories’ role within icare, developing value propositions and provide trusted, expert advice through gathering and analysing data, attending industry forums and understanding supplier capabilities. Develop and implement strategic category plans and initiatives to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes. Build and maintain strong stakeholder and supplier relationships through formal and informal channels to understand required business outcomes, gain industry intelligence and provide expert recommendations to suppliers and business stakeholders on performance issues and identify area’s of potential efficiencies. Develop and promulgate appropriate supplier and category performance reports and coordinate supplier meetings and advisory groups, in consultation with Senior Commercial Manager and key business stakeholders. Monitor, report and advise on performance and value for money within the defined categories. Skills & Experience Demonstrated extensive experience in category management or equivalent in a large and complex service industry organisation. Minimum 5 years’ category management experience or equivalent. Strong knowledge of category and stakeholder/supplier relationship management. Ability to analyse data and develop accurate conclusions to support the assigned categories. A willingness to understand the market and develop recommendations based on intelligence, insights and trends. NSW Government Procurement experience. Experience in delivering category management activities that are fully consistent with all relevant NSW Government legislative, probity and policy requirements. Knowledge of SIRA and APRA regulations.
