Mackay Hospital and Health Service – Mackay QLDThe Health Information Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Health Information Manager (Data Quality) to join their team on a temporary basis.Your opportunityThe purpose of the position is to strategically manage and provide professional oversight of the clinical administrative information systems (primarily HBCIS, EDS and The Viewer) and associated components utilised in Mackay HHS, in addition to ensuring timeliness and quality of patient data.This role is also responsible for providing advice and assistance on activities related to health information management, clinical data standards, clinical records management, and end to end data quality improvement.About the TeamHealth Information Services provides specialist services that embrace the overall commitment to the management and provision of quality patient information to the Mackay HHS.The service is comprised of the following key areas: Health Information Management, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Information Access, Scanning Unit, Medical Typing, Corporate Records, Mail Room and the Switchboard. Health Information Services reports to the Chief Information Officer.While the main office for the Health Information Service is the Mackay Base Hospital, the Senior Health Information Manager (Data Quality) may complete this role from anywhere in Queensland, providing they have suitable computer access and an appropriate office set up.About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
