The Opportunity
We're seeking a Principal Power System Engineer to join our Network Connections team based in Adelaide on a full-time basis to drive the integration and performance of our electrical transmission network.
In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to guide customers through the connection challenges of a network transitioning to 100% renewables while ensuring network security and stability. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our network by driving innovative solutions and adapting to evolving customer needs.
* Provide technical leadership, innovation, and guidance to achieve business goals and objectives.
* Proactively manage customer connections, provide expert advice, and support long-term planning initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent ElectraNet at industry forums.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need/have:
* 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering-related roles with a specialisation in customer connections.
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline (essential).
* Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia or a professional association (essential).
* Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders.
* Expert knowledge of industry requirements, power system engineering, and modelling packages.
* Advanced understanding of engineering techniques, physics, and mathematical principles.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Chartered status with Engineers Australia or equivalent (desirable).
