Our client, a provider of quality independent living retirement village, is seeking a dedicated part time Board Secretary to join their team in Claremont. This part-time role of 40 hours per month offers the flexibility of working from home with occasional in-person and online meetings. The Board Secretary will play a crucial role in supporting the Board, ensuring effective governance and smooth operations.
1. Providing high-level support to the Chair, Board Members, and General Manager
2. Organising and coordinating Board and Committee meetings
3. Preparing agendas and Board packs
4. Taking and completing minutes for meetings
5. Supporting recruitment and induction of new Board members
6. Overseeing periodic review and update of corporate policies
7. Attending board meetings and AGMs as required
8. Coordinating the annual Board and Committee calendar

10. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
11. Advanced competency in Microsoft Suite, especially SharePoint

15. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
