Pizzeys Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an Associate / Senior Associate (3-6 + years PQE) to join our highly regarded trade marks team at Pizzeys in Brisbane or Canberra.Pizzeys is a specialist intellectual property firm practicing in the fields of patents, trade marks and designs. Their core business resides in establishing, maintaining and enforcing intellectual property rights in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and is a subsidiary of IPH Limited, the first IP services group to list on the ASX.As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for advising clients on a broad range of trade mark issues, from brand protection to complex disputes. You will participate and be responsible for the undertaking of the trade mark (and related) business of Pizzeys from time to time. At a senior level, you will contribute to and assist in case management, business development, and the day-to-day operation of your practice and support functions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Trade mark and branding strategies, including advising clients on trade mark portfolio strategies and reporting searches on the availability of a trade mark in Australia or overseas.Registration of Australian trade marks including advising on Examiner's reports and responding in accordance with the client's instructions.Registration of international trade marks.Advising and representing clients in trade mark disputes, including oppositions and non-use proceedings.Marketing and business development of existing and new clients.Such other responsibilities as directed by the Group Head or Principals from time to time and commensurate with your role as a senior employee of the company.If this role sounds like a great fit, apply now with your updated resume and cover letter introducing yourself and why this role is right for you.
