We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Engagement Assistant Director in our Central Australia Region team located in the Tennant Creek office.
This is your opportunity to collaborate with communities across the vibrant and diverse Central Australia Region and deliver priority commitments in the Barkly Region.
As an Engagement Assistant Director, you will work directly within the community, alongside local senior leaders and service providers.
You will forge strong partnerships across all levels of government, driving outcomes that align with the aspirations of communities.
About the Role
In this role, you will contribute to a culture that aligns with NIAA Values and fosters high-performing teams who are dedicated to achieving quality program outcomes.
You will exercise sound decision-making and judgment to produce high-level policy advice.
Additionally, you will provide constructive management with a focus on capability development, team building, and leadership.
You will draft ministerial briefings, correspondence, and executive/minister visits and provide high-quality assurance services.
Furthermore, you will ensure compliance, identification, and mitigation of risks to programs, stakeholders, and other projects.
You will lead a team of Engagement Officers and Engagement Team Leaders to plan and deliver the NIAA's work program across a particular region or group of First Nations communities.
This includes funding agreements and place-based initiatives.
As part of your responsibilities, you will provide expert advice and interpretation within technical or professional areas, including preparing relevant strategic advice.
You will create a culturally safe workplace by fostering an environment where the concept of culture and how it influences the workplace and interactions, is understood.
Finally, you will guide the implementation of culturally appropriate strategies for working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
