The role: The Senior Policy and Project Officer is expected to: Contribute to, and support, the development of high level strategy policy analysis, including providing specialist advice on strategic policy issues.
Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of approved projects and strategic initiatives relating to safeguarding children and young people across Hospitals South, where appropriate, and support and assist in the delivery of Hospitals South priorities.

The hospital/site/area/team: Hospital South located within Women's and Children's Services for all hospital areas.
The position will be integral in ensuring that the Hospitals South is a child safe and has trauma-informed culture embedded.
Will implement strategies and takes action to promote child safety and wellbeing.
Will ensure that Hospitals South is child-centred, engages with children and young people, and develops systems to ensure children are safe and supported.
Details of Appointment Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible for 2 years.

Salary: $101,705 - 115,272 per annum + 11% superannuation In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Current Working with Children Registration Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Appropriate professional and/or tertiary qualifications in business administration, law, or public policy; or tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
