Purpose: To promote and sell a roster of 10 professional conferences online. If you have experience in database management, copywriting and you're super-efficient with your time, then this is a job for you.As the marketing manager, you will be responsible for: Assist in creating the marketing strategy for 10 professional conferences each with an approximate 9 month lifecycle. Content creation for the email marketing campaigns and websites for the conferences (this includes writing the content and simple design in hubspot for the edms and working with a website designer for the websites).Managing a small team of 3+ marketing roles who all help the team to achieve the overall goals.Newsletter content and design creation (every 6-8 weeks).Taking a conference website from conception to creation writing all elements. Drip/workflow campaign design, creation, implementation and optimisation.Proof-reading and reviewing marketing communications with an eye for attention to detail.Working with external stakeholders (committee members and keynote speakers)Measuring outcomes against targets and correcting/optimising as required, including keeping a close weekly eye on sales, revenue and opportunities.Being accountable for the overall gross profit of all events based on marketing activities. Database management, re-engagement and segmentation with an existing database which is segmented for each event. Successful applicants will: Be extremely familiar with Hubspot. Ideally you will have used Hubspot within the last 2 years to manage databases, edm campaigns and workflows. Have a thorough understanding of content marketing, copywriting and content creation. You know how to throw words together that stand out and you're a seasoned pro at writing subject lines, edms and website copy. Be able to manage the content of a campaign from inception to completion. Looking at the customer lifecycle and experience and filling the gaps where needed. Have experience in managing a small marketing team whose main objectives are to drive revenue and increase sales year on year for 10 conferences. In this role, you would be keeping up to date with their workflow and give direction on timelines, goals and targets. There's no micromanaging but there is responsibility to oversee all marketing activities. Have confidence in planning, creating and managing a revolving roster of edm campaigns across 10 conferences each with different timelines of deliverables, launches and campaigns. Able to liaise and work with team members courteously and under pressure as well as report to management on the marketing actions of the team each week.A great communicator and confident in communicating with people of all backgrounds.Have the ability and know-how to quickly handle ad-hoc marketing itemsHave the background and experience to hit the ground running, picking up campaigns which are halfway through, campaigns which are just starting and finalising campaigns which are just ending. At any one time you'll be working on campaigns across 6 – 8 events with the full 12 month roster hosting 10 events. Highly organised and a great multi-tasker, with the ability to work across multiple conferences at once, balancing many tasks and not getting flustered. Have a strategic and analytical mind (being able to see where there are opportunities and pivot quickly) The Ideal Candidate As the successful candidate, you will be a seasoned marketing professional with a positive, proactive and performance-driven attitude that is complimented with the following skills, experiences and attributes:Practical experience in producing a large volume of marketing contentKnow and love the process of event registration, selling events and marketing events.You'll have an eye for detail and know what sells. Picking out the pertinent information of a sometimes 'stale' product and turning this into a sellable point. You'll be a star at benefit-based copywriting and knowing how to sell the sizzle. A rotation of 10 events with set timelines, budgets and marketing milestones to work towards. Warm marketing leads from a well maintained database across 10 different sectors within mental health and niche business. A small but mighty marketing team who handle the digital advertising and cold calling/reachouts – you manage the content and edms of every campaign. A collaborative and supportive team. A concise and thorough handover process with notes and examples to cut your learning time in half and help you shine in this role. This is a contract position with set working hours which include some flexibility, this is a work from home role, with daily 8:30am morning meetings online, frequent check-ins online and fortnightly in-person team meetings at set locations on the Gold Coast.
