Join Maitland during this exciting time and make a meaningful contribution to our community.About the RoleAs Senior Management Accountant you will play a pivotal role in the progression of our Finance team by closely collaborating with internal stakeholders to support the enhancement of management reporting. A key aspect of the role will be collating and consolidating data into concise, actionable monthly, quarterly, and annual ad-hoc management reports. As a primary Finance point of contact, you will assist managers in evaluating and integrating this data for strategic decision-making.Working in a leadership capacity, you will drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, specifically in relation to the integration of the new TechOne platform and will thrive on the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop staff. You will guide the team to deliver high-quality outputs while also preparing longer-term management forecasts and plans. This role is ideal for a driven individual with strong leadership and analytical expertise, eager to shape both team success and the Maitland City Council's broader strategic objectives.About YouTo be successful in this role you will possess degree qualifications in Commerce, Business or related discipline or significant contemporary experience in a relevant field. You will possess strong project management skills, capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines, while demonstrating expertise in accounting systems and process improvements.You will also bring proven leadership abilities, with experience in coaching and supporting staff to achieve targets and deliver high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders. Superior analytical and conceptual skills, as well as highly developed numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills, are essential.
