Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.The RoleThe Information Security Incident Commander will play a critical role in protecting Atlassian and our customers during security incidents. You will be the central point of coordination for all major security incidents. In this role you will help align the overall incident response strategy, define and track work streams, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to Atlassian. You will need to act as the intermediary between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders. This role will be supporting Australian core business hours.ResponsibilitiesParticipating in preparedness activities such as tabletop exercises and red team eventsIdentifying which plans, playbooks, and processes apply to a particular Security IncidentEngaging all required stakeholders and centrally gathering them for a coordinated response effortAssisting in the development of an overall response strategyDeveloping, tracking, and updating leadership on work stream progressEscalating issues as facts change and/or when blockers ariseTranslating technical communications into non-technical communicationsAssisting with internal and external incident related communication, both written and verbalDriving incident response efforts to meet SLOs and SLAsParticipating in after action reviewsOther, as requiredMinimum RequirementsPrevious incident management experience6+ years experience in information securityStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfidence to manage up to more senior leaders during incident response activitiesConsulting experience is a ‘nice to have’Atlassian offers a variety of perks and benefits to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
