About the Position:
The Chef position at Tandoori Flames is a full-time role that offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering authentic Indian dishes, with a focus on tandoori cooking, while contributing to the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including tandoori specialties, curries, and appetizers.
* Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste consistent with Tandoori Flames' reputation.
* Operate and maintain tandoor ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and execute menu items, including chef-special dishes.
* Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
* Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements:
* Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
* Minimum Qualifications Required: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management.
* Minimum Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a professional kitchen environment; tandoor experience mandatory.
* Required Skills:

o Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
