Job Description Due to a strong project pipeline, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Energy Team as a Senior Primary Engineer. This presents an opportunity for an experienced primary systems engineer to work across both transmission and distribution projects. What will a day in this role look like: - Be instrumental in concept and detailed design of substation primary systems and earthing systems for key clients across Australian and New Zealand. - Lead and oversee projects, including conducting site visits, inspections and writing design reports. - Interface with clients on existing projects and leverage future opportunities with senior members of the team by partaking in bids - Provide technical expertise in accordance with project time, quality and cost objectives. - You will support the Principal Engineers and develop design associated with HV systems including cable rating, earthing, lightning protection and insulation coordination studies Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. What are we looking for from you? - University Degree - BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with RPEV or ability to obtain. - Ideally, 5 years relevant experience in transmission and distribution primary substation design and/or utility grid connections. - Experience with industry standard software (CDEGs, CYMCAP, PSCAD etc.) with knowledge of Australian standards and codes. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of being able to work cohesively in a team on large, multidisciplinary projects.
