Key ResponsibilitiesConducting client intake, completing conflict searches, opening/closing client files.Booking client meetings, and maintaining lawyer schedule and agenda.Drafting routine correspondence for lawyer review.Transcribing dictations, producing documents, correspondence, and all follow-up work as directed.Reviewing and prioritizing mail/couriers, coordinating faxes, and scanning/copying documents.Answering client inquiries, taking care of drop-in clients/cold calls, and communicating with key parties in a timely manner.Finalizing transactions procedure in Closing Folders.Maintaining up-to date and accurate electronic and paper client files with the use of a document management system.Processing large volumes of documents using technology to store and organize files diligently.Assist other Family Law team members as needed. What You BringGraduate of a Legal Assistant/Paralegal diploma program or equivalent combination of training and experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, including patience, empathy, and understanding.Proven ability to manage time and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven work environment.Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Office suite, with a talent for learning new computer programs quickly.Detail oriented and meticulous.Proficient in thinking critically and solving problems.Excellent team player who contributes positively to team culture.Ability to be both autonomous and work as part of a team, and drive to take initiative.Knowledge of Closing Folders and ProLaw an asset.Ready to Grow with Us?
