The incumbent will be accountable for supporting achievements of site and Technology & Improvement (T&I) priorities via execution of effective process control solutions.
Ideally, the candidate would be experienced in Honeywell, Rockwell and SCADA.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for optimum availability and functionality of the process control systems and applicationsSupport Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences – utilizing standards developed for programming of PLC's, DCS and SCADA HMI packagesGuide Production teams in the implementation of process control models, strategies and other methodsExamine and translate users' requirements and/or equipment-related process control queries into appropriate solutionsProvide guidance, support and direction to the Process Control Specialist/EngineerManage 3rd party vendor SLA's for Control SystemsDevelop/update standards for any new/modified control system architectureEnsure change management practices are followed when altering the control systemIdentify and train resources on process control improvements and maintenanceProvide input on new technologies considered and stay abreast of technology development and its applicationExecute capital projects, determining the cost of engineering, labour, equipment and materials for process control improvementsDevelop recommendations for the improvement of infrastructureAssist with operational implementation of the process control and infrastructure modifications and upgradesProvide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modificationsAbout You: Preferred candidates will have:
