About Cadia Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney.
Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit.
The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we are looking for We are searching for an enthusiastic Maintenance Planner/Scheduler with electrical aptitude to join our top-performing Maintenance Planning team.
Your focus will be to provide secure and effective work packages for both surface and underground fixed-plant operations.
Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and take a proactive approach to their work.
With a drive for continuously improving the Maintenance Business Process, this candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders, fostering positive and productive relationships.
Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to: Undertake detailed job planning that incorporates, materials, labour and documentation that supports safe and efficient execution (SWI's, Confined Space & OCCC's) Facilitate Weekly Planning Meetings ensuring that pre meeting preparation is undertaken to maximise the value of the meeting Shutdowns – Facilitate shutdown tracking and post shutdown review meetings in line with the business process Engage with the execution teams to develop high quality work orders and detailed schedules that align with how the work is intended to be executed.
Engage with the execution teams to identify and execute improvements in maintenance efficiency Work closely with the execution team to plan & schedule work tasks in a safe and executable manner that identifies and manages Major Hazards and Critical Controls Engagement with execution through job planning & scheduling to ensure the schedule is representative of how the execution team intend to execute the work.
Contribute to the monitoring and optimisation of plant performance and the maintenance function.
(Continuous Improvement) Improve /implement / support proactive, reliability-based maintenance systems to achieve continued improvement trend regarding MTBF.
In addition, you will possess: Trade Certificate or Engineering Diploma or higher (Electrical Discipline) Demonstrated Maintenance planning/scheduling experience within a Mining or FMCG environment Sound understanding of Work Management Fundamentals and CMMS Systems Sound knowledge and experience of Planning & Scheduling in SAP Sound fixed plant knowledge to allow for detailed job planning & scheduling High level proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word Electrical Maintenance Planner/Schedulers are encouraged to apply.
Please note: This is a fulltime permanent residential role based in Orange, NSW and will work on a 5/2 or 5/2-4/3 roster.
