**About the Role**
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks for our fleet of locomotives, track maintenance mobile equipment, and associated mechanical plant.
This key member of the Rolling Stock maintenance team will achieve targets in relation to safety, quality, and productivity.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* An excellent focus on safety and a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of all work colleagues
* Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Equivalent trade)
* Manual Driver's License
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
* Ability to be self-motivated and organised
* Effective written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
The following additional skills will be highly regarded:
* Mobile Plant Maintenance
* Gearbox, Transmission repairs and overhaul
* Ability to weld and use lathe/milling machines
* Basic Rigging, Forklift, Overhead and Mobile Crane
