Site Reliability Engineer (12 months fixed term)
Adelaide based role
The Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in modernising, transforming and delivering a range of sustainable, user-focussed digital government services for the South Australian community. This position will influence strategy and lead system infrastructure to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with UNIX-like operating systems and technologies used for web applications, including Linux, databases and CDNs. They will also demonstrate a working familiarity with at least one programming language such as Typescript, Java, Python or Javascript.
In addition, they will have significant experience in managing public cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS, as well as experience with orchestration tools such as Pulumi, Terraform and GitOps.
The successful candidate will be familiar with working practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and will have significant experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role in large and complex organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and plan systems infrastructure to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of all systems.
* Develop and implement strategies to ensure high availability to citizens and agencies that rely on critical citizen facing systems.
* Provide technical expertise to solve complex problems on infrastructure activities and ensure operations are managed and maintained according to service management and security organisation frameworks.
* Automate tasks, deployment and testing by creating infrastructure as code, and maintaining the quality of code produced.
Requirements:

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
