About the Role: As a Logistics Scheduler at Lowes Petroleum Service, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating day-to-day fuel deliveries from terminals to customers and company sites. Operating from our Burnie Depot, you'll ensure the efficient operation of our fleet, optimise routes, and uphold safety standards while meeting customer service level requirements
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Scheduling day to day deliveries of bulk fuels from terminal to customer and company delivery sites utilising the available fleet based at the Burnie Depot
Ensuring that Lowes fleet operates efficiently by minimising operating costs through effective load maximisation, route planning and driver scheduling
Entering scheduled deliveries and delivery details promptly into the Lowes database in accordance with NHVR requirements
Liaising and communicating with company drivers, customers and transport sub-contractors on a daily basis
Supporting depot operations including trip processing and dispatch activities
Remote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areas
Meeting and exceeding customer service level requirements
Schedule trucks servicing and maintenance
Managing driver rosters and timesheets
Support of Depot Operations
Skills Required:
Scheduling experience considered an advantage but not essential as full on the job training will be provided
A good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements
BFM Certificate
Ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisions
Critical thinking with a focus on problem solving and solution based outcomes
Capable of working unsupervised and managing time effectively
Strong transport & logistics background
Operational experience is an advantage
Good computer skills including Excel
Ability to navigate and use spreadsheets
