Regional Manager - Gladstone BranchWe provide excellence in Electrical Engineering, technology services, and Control Systems that support our people, our clients, and our communities to engineer a sustainable future.About the role The position is intended for a highly experienced engineer, financially astute, who is self-sufficient, capable of managing projects and a team of engineers whilst generating work and contacts for the company.You will be responsible for:Office ManagementProvide long-term office management and decision-making in consultation with the Managing Director and the Board.Be accountable for the regional office budget and office expenses.Assist the company by actively managing the regional area office. Essential day-to-day activities include without limitation:Ensure time sheets are submitted daily in Daptiv by all staff.Be aware of staff movements and personal leave requirements at all times.Complete weekly invoicing as part of the weekly WIP Report review process with the Accounts team.Maintain a weekly regional projects deliverables schedule to ensure projects are delivered by due dates.Invoicing and progress reports are maintained on a weekly basis for all clients within the region of control.Monitor and resolve HR issues and reviews – inform Cell Directors of issues as they arise and action in consultation.Ensure project deliverables are completed on budget, on time and of a high standard.Review and update of office budget in conjunction with the Office Manager.Source client feedback and handle dispute resolution as required.Develop reports, specifications and technical papers as required by the company and its clients.Facilitate weekly planning and review meetings with project engineers to ensure all billable staff have planned work for the week ahead.Ensure all regional time sheets are submitted daily and approved weekly per policy guidelines.Project & Regional ReportingMaintain a regional weekly project overview to ensure projects are completed on time per client and/or contract requirements.Ensure all team members attend the weekly project planning meeting to allocate project tasks and manage project issues every Monday morning.Provide accurate and timely weekly and monthly office reports to the Managing Director.Ensure the required budgetary and project progress reports are prepared on time per company requirements in collaboration with the Finance and Admin teams.Manage and report on performance of all projects within the region including but not limited to budgets, schedule compliance, and contractual commitments.Responsible for the regional engineering group achieving company billable hours targets on a monthly and annual basis.Coaching & MentoringDevelop the engineering team with specialist skills to service target industry clients. This includes mentoring Project Engineers and Graduate Engineers in execution of project work, developing designs, resolving technical issues, and reviewing work completed by engineers.Regional Sales & Business Development (BD)Establish consultancy agreements and other strategic partnerships that will increase revenue in 1 – 2 years.Lead BD efforts in your assigned region and coach the engineering team to continually upsell products and services at all times.Develop connections with local contacts through industry groups and prospective client visits to increase potential sales volumes for your assigned region and Cell Engineering as a group.Quality ManagementContinuous improvement of company systems.Participate in the development and/or improvement of company systems including but not limited to QA, commissioning, and operations systems.Report on performance of the QMS requirements for improvement.Promote a high level of focus and awareness of customer requirements throughout the regional team and the organisation.Ensure all projects and contracts are delivered on time and on budget and meet all clients stipulated quality requirements.Ensure the processes essential for the regional QMS are established, implemented, and maintained.About you The following summary details the preferred skills and experience considered essential to be successful in the role:Extensive technical skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.Well organised, pragmatic, and able to manage a diverse and complex workload.Flexible, consistent with a desire to lead.Friendly and approachable attitude with a good sense of humour and strong interpersonal skills.Ability to take the initiative, manage risk and make decisions within your authority level.Ability to perform medium to large projects from concept stages through to post commissioning support.Advanced level of knowledge of power system design and analysis.Strong level of knowledge and commitment to safety and customer service.If you are interested in switching to a company that offers a flexible work environment and collaborative leadership team, please apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
