The Opportunity
Provide support at this community-controlled primary health network across the Cape York Indigenous Communities, delivering care to 11 of the Cape York communities. You'll be working as a solo GP alongside full nursing support, with one exception for a community site where there are two GPs posted plus nursing support.
Working Arrangements
* You will be based onsite in a self-contained room with a shared kitchen and laundry facilities.
* Before traveling to the community, you can stock up on essentials like fruit and vegetables in Cairns and bring them with you.
* Doctors do not stay in the communities over the weekend and will travel back to Cairns each Friday.
The Location
The Cape York Peninsula boasts 17 Indigenous communities, featuring a diverse landscape with rich cultural heritage. The region encompasses 1200kms of UNESCO World Heritage-listed locations, including ancient rainforests, rugged coastlines, and significant Indigenous history.

Essential Criteria
* Specialist registration with AHPRA, holding FRACGP or FRACRRM qualification
* Previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (Desirable)
